ANSWERS: Edges of Glory

It's been close to two weeks since my first "Edges of Glory" puzzle was posted on this blog, and just like in the last Answers post, sixteen people have successfully solved it, all of whom are listed below:

  • Grant Fikes
  • Cindy Heisler
  • Joe Bernard
  • Kevin Orfield
  • Sam Levitin
  • Meg Duvall
  • Mom
  • Wendy Walker
  • Michael Lebowitz
  • Tyler Hinman
  • Mindy Moore
  • Tamara Brenner
  • Al Sisti
  • Lynn Sweeney
  • Ray Youstra
  • Peter Abide
Now head below the break for the answers as well as a couple solvers' comments!

1) Bind, 2) Bone, 3) Duct, 4) Penn, 5) Rube, 6) Sues, 7) Suns, 8) Upon, 9) View, 10) Vito, 11) Void, 12) Wren

The outermost edges (highlighted above) spell out UNDERCOVER BOSS

Solver Sam Levitin found this puzzle more difficult than usual: "It's really hard to get going if you have even one word wrong. I had LASH in place of BIND, and nothing worked. Not even trying to back solve by letter parity. Enjoyable, though."

Similarly, solver Meg Duvall said "That was challenging!  I really had to get all the 4-letter words first and then figure out which letters weren’t part of pairs (to go on the outside).  Then I just jumped in and got lucky on my second try.  Good thing I never do puzzles in pen!  Thanks."
