Now head below the break for the answers as well as several comments!
The added letters, in the order of the clue numbers, spell out ROCK BAND WHO DID "ABRACADABRA", and the answer to that is THE STEVE MILLER BAND
Solver Eric Maddy came up with an alternative answer in the form of SUGAR RAY, and said "I assume you're looking for the classic Steve Miller Band, but with last week's answer being a musical act from Orange County, I thought I'd stay on theme with a correct, though alternative, answer" [It turns out Sugar Ray did a cover of "Abracadabra" on their triple-platinum album 14:59]
Patron Joe Bernard also came up with two more bands who did songs with that title: "Went to Wikipedia to confirm my answer and discovered two other possible bands (Brown Eyed Girls and Florent Pagny) but SMB was first so I gave them the nod." [I probably wouldn't have accepted either, since the clue specified a ROCK BAND; Brown Eyed Girls is a K-pop group, while Florent Pagny is a solo artist from France]
Patron Grant Fikes showed off a couple portraits of himself in his reply email: My reaction to seeing what letters 14-16 and 21-23 spell:

My reaction to answer 25:
