ANSWERS: Smush 3

Boy, I guess my newly revamped version of "Smush" was a hit, as an astounding twelve people have solved it since it was first posted two weeks ago! Take a look:
  • Grant Fikes ****
  • Cindy Heisler ****
  • Joe Bernard ****
  • Kevin Orfield ****
  • Tyler Hinman ****
  • Stephen Potter ****
  • Patrick Jordan ****
  • Sam Levitin ****
  • Mom ****
  • Brittany Trofimovich ****
  • Lynn Sweeney ****
  • Eric Maddy ****
Now head below the break for the answers as well as a few solvers' comments!

1) SUPERMANACONDA ["Superman" + "Anaconda"]
2) MEXICOSTA RICA [Mexico + Costa Rica]
3) PIZZACHARY TAYLOR [Pizza + Zachary Taylor]
4) BLUE RIBBONKERS [Blue ribbon + Bonkers]
5) PENDULUMBERJACK [Pendulum + Lumberjack]

The highlighted overlapping letters ("AN", "CO", "ZA", "BON", and "LUM") unscramble to spell out COLUMBONANZA, which is the smushed-up form of COLUMBO and BONANZA.

"Oh, just one more question...." [Columbo quote sent to me by Solver Sam Levitin]

Solver Lynn Sweeney said "We watched both of those shows in the past. Especially liked Columbo. My brother can get that on a station downstate [called MeTV] that we don’t get on our cable up here."

Regarding the FINAL ANSWER, Patron Tyler Hinman simply said "I'd watch it."
