ANSWERS: Deck It Out 2

It's been roughly  two weeks since I've posted "Deck It Out 2", and since then, nine of you have solved it, as you can see in the list below (and don't forget that the people who support me on Patreon are in red):
  • Grant Fikes ***
  • Eric Maddy ****
  • Mom ****
  • Sam Levitin ****
  • Lynn Sweeney ***
  • Chris Hendricks ****
  • YYW ****
  • Dan Simonds ****
  • Debbie Benford ****
Now just head below the break for the answers as well as a couple solver comments!

1) Sphinx, 2) Tennis, 3) Cruxes, 4) Lethal, 5) Piracy, 6) Harlem, 7) Casual, 8) Michel, 9) Norton, 10) Vegeta, J) Darwin, Q) Jimena, K) Wagons

The sentence in the above grid reads SIXTIES MOVIE WHERE PAUL NEWMAN'S CHARACTER JOINS A CHAIN GANG, and the answer to that is COOL HAND LUKE

"Sometimes, nothing can be a real cool hand"

Patron Grant Fikes requested "Minus one star for DuckDuckGo search for "60's movie chain gang". Managed to piece together the message without solving clues 8, 9, 10, or Q (and I am very very lucky that I remembered DARWIN."

Solver Sam Levitin questioned if it was the right answer, then added "If it isn’t, then I’m afraid what we have is a failure to communicate J"

Darwin in his natural state.
